1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Family Kharcha mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by Family Kharcha ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Family Kharcha. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Account Registration

To use Family Kharcha, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Keep your account credentials secure and confidential.
• Notify us immediately at hello@familykharcha.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.

4. Use of the Service

4.1 Permitted Use

Family Kharcha is a personal finance management tool for family use. You may use the Service to track personal and household expenses, allocate budgets within your family, and manage family financial records for personal, non-commercial purposes.

4.2 Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• Upload or transmit malicious code, viruses, or any software intended to damage or gain unauthorized access to systems.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app.
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm other users.
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits or bans.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service.
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service in bulk.

5. Family Groups and Members

Family Kharcha allows you to create family groups and invite other users. As a group admin, you are responsible for:

• Ensuring you have consent from members before adding them to a group.
• Managing member access and permissions appropriately.
• The accuracy of budget and expense data you enter on behalf of the group.

By joining a family group, you acknowledge that your name, allocation amounts, and expense entries will be visible to all members of that group.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Family Kharcha offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are subject to the following:

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Prices may change with reasonable notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
• You are responsible for all taxes applicable to your subscription in your jurisdiction.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Family Kharcha — including the app design, logo, text, graphics, and software — are owned by or licensed to Family Kharcha and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any data you enter into the app (expenses, budgets, family information). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display this data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

8. Privacy

Your use of Family Kharcha is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it carefully to understand our data practices.

9. Disclaimers

Family Kharcha is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
• The financial information you track using the app is accurate, complete, or suitable for making financial decisions.

Family Kharcha is a budgeting tool, not a financial advisory service. You should consult a qualified financial advisor for professional financial advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Family Kharcha and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including loss of data, loss of profits, or any other financial loss.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account from the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or by email at least 7 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.
